After scouring the country tasting, testing and evaluating the finest local ingredients, we then formed partnerships with small to mid-sized family farms, grower coops and artisans producers that are committed to ethical farming and unwavering quality. Because we buy direct, this allows the farmers to earn more money which helps them keep their farms from being developed.
This stands in stark contrast to our competitors who use value-priced commodity ingredients often from abroad with no thought to how they were grown or acquired. Buying imported ingredients when our farmers are struggling is not a good practice.
Each Thoughtful Harvest product is carefully formulated in Chef Snow’s own kitchen to make sure that taste, texture and flavor are spot on.
Once formulated, our products are made in small micro batches under Chef Snow’s stringent specifications that include classic culinary techniques including a technique called infusion which pumps up the flavor quotient.
Although these methods are more costly , more time consuming, and more expensive, this is what it takes to produce the best.
